Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how CalcHome ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit our website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

CalcHome is a browser-based calculator tool. We have designed it specifically so that no financial data you enter is ever sent to our servers. This policy explains what limited information we do collect through standard web operations, and how we handle it.

Data We Collect

Like any website, our server receives basic technical information automatically when your browser loads a page. This includes:

• Your IP address (used to route the page to your device)
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referring URL (the page you came from)
• Pages visited and time of visit
• HTTP status codes

This information is stored in standard server access logs for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then deleted. We do not use it to identify individual users.

Calculator Data

All inputs you enter into the mortgage calculator — including home price, down payment, interest rate, and loan term — are processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript.

This data is never sent to our servers. It is not stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere. When you close or refresh the page, the data is gone.

Cookies

CalcHome does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party tracking services.

Your browser may set a small session cookie as part of normal HTTPS operation, but it contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.

Third Parties

We load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address. Google's privacy policy applies to this interaction: policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not use any other third-party services, CDNs, or embedded content that would track you across websites. We do not sell, rent, or share any information with advertisers or data brokers.

Your Rights

Because we collect only minimal technical data and do not track individuals, there is very little personal data for us to act on. However, depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable law, including:

• The right to know what data we hold about you
• The right to request deletion of your data
• The right to data portability
• The right to object to processing

Children's Privacy

CalcHome is intended for adults making financial decisions. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of CalcHome after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
